Kati Stern :: Fall 2006

Ms Stern's trademark leather, fur, chiffon and lace were in full effect tonight. The color palette was rich. Turquoises, greens and purples that reminded me of a supersaturated upstate New York in Fall. Colors were layered along with the fabrics to create texturally and visually rich shorts, pants, skirts, dresses, and gowns.

I'm not sure whether it is a 'man-thing' or not, but the mention of shearling shorts does something quite special for me. I assume it does for the women who wear the Venexiana collection too. Leg warmers were in abundance also, entwined in boots and shoes that were very distracting and at times stopped me concentrating on the collection (in a good way).
