Strangly Herrera took her inspiration for this collection from Claudia Cardinale, the Italian actress whose career started after she won a beauty contest, and who might be best known to American audiences as Princess Dala in the original 'Pink Panther' movie. This is strange because my inspiration for writing came from David Niven who wrote 'The Moon's A Balloon' and who was also in 'The Pink Panther'. Small world, isn't it.
