For Sass&Bide's 'shining independent' collection, the Aussie pair's theme was "the Goddess Hera meets Emily Bronte". Not exactly a great combination, in my opinion: both influences are so great and dominant on their own, why put them together? Things only got messy when Sass&Bide's grecian influenced draped viscose dresses were combined with Victorian high neck collars, yokes and nipped waists. To top it off there were feathered floral and beaded fern prints in jet black. Alongside many other designers this season, the color story was muted, filled with hints of nude and corn flower blue. The collection comprised mostly dresses (did someone say fall/winter?) and was highly stylized with thick ribbons intertwined with models' tightly pulled braids.
