While the show began with the narrative poptronic Postal Service Soundtrack and threw in a bit of Swedish pop from "The Knife," we watched the school girl fashion unfold. Like a school girl on an interview, this collection had a young feeling lurking beneath its boleros and blazers. With thigh-side details on dresses and skirts, this collection took traditional notions of the party dress, winter cape and button down into the world of Feiz. Angular coats with giant obtuse collars made warm and glamorous one in the same. By using elastic in unusual places, Feiz was able to maintain the shape of his oversized coats. And although the wool cape has been a long time coming, the structure of the cape presented in this show was subtly signature with a sailor front, a buckle back, and side slits. Though the party dresses felt oddly familiar the slimness of the delicate satin made each dress shockingly fitting.
Feiz touches: "hint of bolero" cap sleeves and satin bows. Peak of the Feiz Wave: those sheer button down tops with collar-bone cut-outs. Professional meets sexy? At the very least. [Xenia Viray] more...
