GMHC Fashion Forward 2007 :: Pictures of the Fashion Show featuring Buckler

On November 1st, ZOOZOOM co-sponsored Fashion Forward, an effort on the part of the fashion industry to support the fight against AIDS and HIV in conjunction with Gay Men's Health Crisis, a non-profit organization. Amongst the likes of Diane von Furstenberg and Perry Ellis, ZOOZOOM attended the cocktail reception, silent auction, and runway show, and took portraits of its gorgeous attendees. There was an evening wear group that would have had the Brat pack gnawing at the bit, as would the sharkskin suit with lavender plum shirt. But all was not posh and gloss: there was a popper button tartan shirt with jeans that was more lumberjack than social club. Part Goth revival, part English punk, Andrew Buckler has turned menswear on its head only to land feet first and poised for stardom. There were two distinctive highlights during this show: the arrival of the Chariots of Fire Brigade - imagine 6-7 men in their underpants, labeled "Sexy Bastard" along the ribbing (nice!); the second was the finale, which consisted of none other than the glorious Peter Murphy who serenaded us with his version of " Nightclubbing".
