The Trilby featuring accessories

The Trilby has always fascinated me. I feel that it can be what a full stop is to a sentence- the ultimate finish. I remember the exact moment I realised the power of the Trilby. I had worn one (rather tentatively admittedly) to a party and I was amazed by how many people it drew to me, and the compliments I received. Ladies take heed: It's a great way to get the token 'cute guy' at the party to notice you. The late Isabella Blow understood the power of hats and the effect it had on men, '...its meant to be a sensual, erotic display. You're there to get a new husband, new boyfriend, a new girlfriend, whatever. And you can get it...men love hats. They love it because its something they have to take off in order to fuck you. Anyone can wear a hat.' And how right she was. Like her, I too plan my outfit around my hat and not the other way around. The Trilby I wear dictates what mood or look I'm going for and therefore whatever clothes I pick will fall into the style of that mood. more...

Bellum Classics Fall 07 Love Collection [ZOO Daily] featuring accessories

Bellum Classics is an ongoing series of customized vintage watch collections created by a design and artisan collective. The group arose from what it saw as a 'lack of...individualism in the marketplace' and named itself after the Latin root for war as a statement of resistance to what it viewed as a lackluster design environment.
The Love Collection is the most recent line of handpicked luxury watches customized to the Bellum standard, requiring acute specialization in watchmaking and restoration. In the Love Collection, Bellum resurrected an original stainless steel Bulova Accutron Spaceview watch from the late '60s, the first transistorized watch ever made.more...

Aristotle identified the heart as the center of both emotional and physical sensations in 4 BC. Although today's medicine places little value on our heart's effect on the states of our 'souls' and sympathies, we continue to represent its shape in pop culture. You'll find that there is a ton of anecdotal or historical conjectures as to why this is so, but there is one idea we can all agree on: we have somehow collectively accepted the heart's abstract shape as something of significance and it pervades art, fashion, and literature today. Wear your heart on your sleeve, on your feet or around your neck to see if you agree. more...

A born and raised Manhattanite, Catherine Rapetti makes bags only in NYC. She keeps the clutch alive by redrawing its geometric proportions and changing its skin from 'Silver Sparkle Leather' to Giraffe Print. Rapetti's repertoire also includes tote bags large enough to house a desktop computer (though it's not recommended.) ...more...
