You could tell it from the first sentence of the first page of her program. You could see it in her choice of 'Joan of Arc' as her character, the cleverly done and heavenly-executed crown-of-thorns hair, and muted somber palette. But there is joy in the A Detacher Spring 2009 Collection (Kowalska's first runway presentation). It lies in the painstakingly knit rope detailing, the risky 'diaper' dress that was neither dress nor jumper, and the playful silk underpants. Monika Kowalska is no new kid on the blog.
