Over twenty-five years ago, artist Nancy Burson helped develop software with scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that enabled the construction of composite portraits. With this as the starting point, ClampArt opened 'The Evolution of the Digital Portrait' featuring Burson's fascinating 'beauty composites' of Hollywood starlets from 1982; Noah Kalina's poignant 6-minute film 'Everyday: Noah Kalina Takes a Photo of Himself Every Day for 6 Years' which has now been viewed on YouTube over 6 million times; and a lot of engaging material in between. Time and Again is the title of a collection of images by Marc Yankus. Yankus combines surfaces from old photographs and prints with contemporary photographs. Originally trained as a painter, and then working as a collage artist, it was not until more recently that Marc Yankus began incorporating his own photographs into his artwork.
