The new Safari 4.0 beta from Apple shows us everything Google has failed to achieve. Wait, I hear you cry, some people, and those on dial-up etc., want the same old Google search return page. Fair enough, they can keep it. But the fact that Google has not even offered any other way to view there search results, even as an option, tells us one thing, that the corporate incentive to make profit is more important than the corporate incentive to innovate (I suppose this is obvious). Google makes money on words, and in an effort to not break that, have not offered us any alternative just in case we prefer it and they can't find a way to make money off it.

That’s ridiculous. Presentation and display is a business best left to other creative people to develop as you display well in this story.
Google knows to allow for new developers to profit from creative ideas like this. Isn’t that really what we want?
Absolutely, Google should never try and innovate and optionally present its results in a visually dynamic and rich way that matches the incredibly visually saturated environment we live in. That would just be pointless!
